| Saturday , January 10th 2026 Planning Meeting Luncheon Please join us at Bennett's Publical Family Grill in Miamisburg at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 10th for the first OVEB meeting of 2026. Our annual planning meeting will be a great opportunity to relax and reconnect with old friends and to finalize upcoming club activities. 2026 will be a very exciting year for the Ohio Valley Early Birds as it marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of our club. | Saturday , February 21st Axe Throwing Event Join us for a spirited time on Saturday, February 21st at Class Axe Cincinnati Axe Throwing in West Chester Township. Afterwards we will have lunch at the Back Porch restaurant. Pictures of event |
| Friday , March 27th American Sign Museum Join us at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 27th for a tour of The American Sign Museum. Since the last time OVEB visited the Museum (shortly after it opened in 2012), it has undergone a $5.5M expansion project. Completed in July of 2024, the additional 20,000 square feet solidifies the American Sign Museum as the largest and most diverse public sign museum in the country. | Saturday , April 11th The Tri-State Warbird Museum in Batavia Ohio @ 10:00am A historic aviation museum dedicated to remembering those who fought for our freedom and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The aircraft collection currently consists of 11 significant WWII aircraft with additional acquisitions planned for the future. We had a great tour of the museum and then headed to the Red Lobster on Ohio Pike for lunch. Pictures of event |
| Saturday , May 2nd America's Packard Museum & The Spaghetti Warehouse After meeting for a nice lunch at Dayton's popular Spaghetti Warehouse we drove a few blocks to America's Packard Museum. The Museum houses the largest collection of Packard automobiles and memorabilia anywhere in the world, with cars from 1903 to 1956. Car Collector magazine named the museum one of the "Top Ten" Auto Museums in The United States, and the Society of Automotive Historians conferred the prestigious James J. Bradley Award upon the Museum for its "exemplary efforts" in preserving motor vehicle resource materials. Only six other U.S. museums had previously received the Bradley Award. The vehicles are constantly being rotated, so there is always something new to see. A brand-new exhibit, The British Invasion: 250 Years of Revolution, just opened on April 24. It features British cars from all eras, as well as American cars built for the British market. Pictures of event |
| Friday , June 5th OVEB 50th Anniversary Luncheon at the Kenwood - 11:30AM 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the Ohio Valley Early Birds. As a way of saying thanks to all of our members, we held an anniversary luncheon in the party room high atop the Kenwood by Senior Star. The food and fellowship were great! Pictures of event |
| Saturday , August 1st GE Aerospace Learning Center - August 1st Our visit to the GE Aerospace Learning Center provided a fascinating look at this leading Cincinnati company. The facility is a showcase for the company's aviation heritage as well as a remarkable display of modern technology and twenty-first century commercial and military aviation leadership. After our tour, we enjoyed lunch at the historic Century Inn. Pictures of event |
| Thursday - Saturday , August 13th - 15th Dearborn, Michigan Excursion We had fun exploring the home of Ford Motor Company and many related historical treasures. We visited the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, the Ford F-150 Rouge assembly plant and the historic Ford Piquette Avenue Model T plant. Pictures of event |
| Friday , September 25th Thunderbird covered bridges driving tour The weather was fabulous for our fall covered bridge driving tour in Butler, Preble and Montgomery counties. After meeting in downtown Oxford we headed to the Black (Pugh's Mill) Covered Bridge then we stopped for a wonderful lunch at the Hueston Woods State Park Lodge. Afterward, our leisurely route took us over Ohio's scenic back roads to the Christman Bridge, Roberts Bridge and finally the Brubaker Bridge. Pictures of event |
| Thursday , October 29th Doscher Candy Cane Factory Tour @ 12:30PM - Lunch at 11AM What better way to get into the holiday spirit than by touring America's oldest candy cane factory? For nearly 150 years, Doscher's has used the same recipe to ensure each of their candy canes is perfectly chewy and airy. The process involves using real peppermint oil, cooking small batches in copper kettles, and working with the best tools known to man - human hands - to roll, knead, stripe, and hook the canes. The cost for the tour is $15 each and the tour is limited to 15 people. Prior to the tour, we'll enjoy lunch at 11AM at the nearby Mercer Social House. Please see the flyer for complete details. We are going to contact Doscher and try to get more people on the tour but right now those who sent their RSVP after October 9th will be put on a waiting list. | Friday , November 13th Old Milford and Little Miami Brewing Company We will meet and have lunch at the Little Miami Brewing Company, 208 Mill Street, Milford, OH at 11:15 a.m. After lunch, you will be on your own, to explore the historic streets of Old Milford and tour independent boutiques, antique and vintage stores, galleries, bookstores, specialty shops and other locally owned businesses. | Saturday , May 16th That Day in May Festival and Car Show - Oakwood OH Remember to mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16th, for the "That Day in May" (TDIM) festival in Oakwood, OH. The TDIM festival is hosted by the Rotary Club of Oakwood. They are looking for 25 cars to display at the festival from noon to 3pm on May 16. This is the 51st year of the festival. | Sunday , May 17th Loveland Sesquicentennial Car Show - 10AM - 2PM Join us in Downtown Loveland for the Loveland Sesquicentennial Car Show on Sunday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This special event is part of the City's 150th anniversary celebration and welcomes car enthusiasts to showcase their vehicles in a festive, community-focused setting. Participants are invited to display their cars and compete for awards, with judging beginning at 1:45 p.m. and awards presented at 2 p.m. The registration fee is $20, and all registrations must be submitted by May 1, 2026. Registration is available online or can be completed in person or by mail at City Hall (120 W. Loveland Ave., Loveland, OH 45140). Please make checks payable to the City of Loveland. Online credit card payments will incur a processing fee of 2.75% plus $0.25 per transaction. | Saturday , June 13th Columbe Picnic at Lime Rock Farm for Lincoln & Thunderbird Clubs - Noon Joe and Elenor Columbe's annual picnic will be held on Saturday, June 13 at the family's Lime Rock Farm in Milroy, Indiana. Joe's impressive collection of Lincoln and Continental automobiles will be on display in a large covered building. The Lincoln Owner's Club, the Early Birds of Hoosierland and the Ohio Valley Early Birds are among the area car clubs that have been invited to the picnic. This will be a great chance to visit with our friends in Indiana and look at some very nice cars. You can bring your own picnic lunch or purchase a box lunch from Joe Columbe. | Sunday , July 26th Thunderbirds at the Dayton Dragons Game OVEB members are invited to join the Thunderbirds of Southwest Ohio on Sunday, July 26 for a Dayton Dragons baseball game. Participants will be able to display their T-Birds in a protected area on the plaza outside the stadium's main gate while watching the Dayton Dragons take on the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Plan to arrive for setup by noon. Game time is 1:05PM. More information will be provided as the date gets closer, but this is a heads-up to to reserve the date on your calendar. After last year's rainout, the TSWO is hoping for perfect weather in 2026. |
| Sunday , July 26th Rollin' on the River Charity Car Show - Sunday, July 26, 2026 Rollin' on the River Charity Car Show Combine the scenic Fernbank Park overlooking the Ohio River on Cincinnati's West Side, and several hundred classic cars and you have all the ingredients for a great car show. Weather permitting, classic cars on display will number between 300 to 500 vehicles. Between 5,000 to 10,000 spectators filter through Fernbank Park to view these classics from days long past. What blossomed from a modest car show that started 33 years ago has turned out to be one of the largest classic car shows in Southwestern Ohio.
