Saturday February 25th | Wheels of Time Museum - 10:30AM We enjoyed the many interesting displays at the Wheels of Time Museum in Springdale Ohio. Exhibits included an 1830's house, vintage cars, antique telephone equipment and more. Following our visit to the museum, we enjoyed lunch at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. Pictures of event |
Saturday March 25th | Fernald Preserve Visitors Center - Hamilton, OH - 11:00AM - CANCELLED This activity was cancelled due to a loss of power at the The Fernald Preserve Visitors Center. |
Friday April 21st | Richardson Private Automobile Collection Tour This was a rare opportunity to see one of the largest private auto collections in the Midwest. We started the day by viewing fully restored and rare automobiles located in Blue Ash, Ohio. After lunch, we traveled to Washington Courthouse and viewed additional automobiles, motorcycles and boats in the expansive collection. We also toured the onsite restoration facility. Thursday - Sunday May 18th - 21st | Lexington, KY Weekend Excursion On a sunny Thursday in May we met at Galvin's on Main in Georgetown, KY for lunch before departing to Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky (TMMK) to take an afternoon tram tour of the expansive facility. Other attractions we visited during the three days in Lexington included Keeneland Race Track, private horse farm tours, the Kentucky Horse Park, the Henry Clay Estate and Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. Saturday June 10th | LaComedia Dinner Theatre - Jimmy Buffett's Escape to Margaritaville. All attendees at this fun and laid-back musical, featuring the most loved hits from Jimmy Buffett, thought it was a wonderful production. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the "Best Seats in the House". Pictures of event |
Saturday June 17th | Joint Picnic with EBOH and Other Car Clubs at Lime Rock Farm - Milroy Indiana The Ohio Valley Early Birds joined 8 other car clubs on a beautiful sunny day for a joint picnic at Lime Rock Farm in Rush County Indiana. The other groups included: the Lincoln & Continental Owners Club, the Cadillac & LaSalle Club, the Indiana Region of the Classic Car Club of America, the Professional Car Society of Indiana, the Hoosier/Kentucky Racing Region of the Rolls Royce & Bentley Owners Club, the Vintage Thunderbird Club of Indiana & the Early Birds of Hoosierland. Tuesday - Sunday August 22nd - 27th | International Thunderbird Club 2023 Thunderbird Reunion - Dearborn, Michigan The International Thunderbird Club (ITC) sponsored "Thunderbird Reunion" in Dearborn Michigan was a great event. Members of ALL Thunderbird clubs and ALL years of Thunderbirds had a unique opportunity to show off their T-Birds. A large all-Thunderbird car show was held in front of Ford World Headquarters. Saturday September 9th | Green County Covered Bridges Tour The 50 mile route from Xenia to Yellow Springs features six covered bridges. The two hour tour will conclude in Yellow Springs, OH, where we will stop for lunch at the Calypso Grill with an optional stop for ice cream at Young's Jersey Dairy. Pictures of event |
Saturday October 7th | Cincinnati Underground Brewing History Tour Our adventure begins with lunch at 12:30PM at The Northern Row Brewery at 111 W McMicken Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Situated in the historic Over-the-Rhine Brewery District, Northern Row Brewery and Distillery occupies a notable pre-prohibition building, constructed in 1895. Convenient to the Cincinnati Connector Street Car, Rhinegeist Brewing, and all the culinary deliciousness at Findlay Market, imbibers and friends are sure to find endless options in the neighborhood. After lunch, we'll join American Legacy Tours for their newest tour, The Hidden Caverns tour at 2PM. During the tour, we will go underground to explore the Linck brewery tunnels. Next we will visit the site where Johnny Cash filmed a movie and visit the site of one of Cincinnati's most important inclines. We will also tour the inside of the last remaining structure from the original Christian Moerlein Brewery complex, a building that has been closed to the public for decades. Sunday October 8th | Spring Grove Cemetery Car Show Spring Grove hosts one the largest car shows in the area. Models 1995 and older are welcome. There is no entry fee for spectators, but everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the FreeStore Food Bank. Concessions will be available to purchase and mini tram tours will be available throughout the event. If you are attending as a spectator, there is no need to register. If you are bringing a car to show, you can register online beginning September 9th at NOON. The show will be held at the Spring Grove Funeral Home main location. Wednesday - Sunday October 25th - 29th | CTCI Southeast Region 4 Touring Convention - October 25-29, 2023 - The Villages, FL The Central Florida Classic Thunderbird Club (CFCTB) invites all CTCI members to "Florida's Friendliest Home Town" for the 2023 regional convention in The Villages. The host venue is the Brownwood Hotel, Spa and Convention Center. Adjacent to the hotel is the Brownwood Paddock Square. Planned events include nightly cruises through the Villages, dinner at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant and free live entertainment. Planned driving and coach tours include a visit to Ocala, Florida to visit the National Parts Depot collection of 200+ classic cars, The Don Garlit's Museum of Drag Racing and Early Ford collection and the Burnz Motors collection of fabulous resto rods.
