January 19th
2019 Planning Meeting -- Cancelled.
Due to the bad weather we had to Cancel this event.
February 2nd
Planning lunch and Tour of Mound Cold War Discovery Center.
Club members met for lunch at Bennett's Publical in Miamisburg to hash over ideas for this years schedule. We then had a tour of the new Mound Cold War Discovery Center just down the road.

March 3rd
Newport Aquarium & Pompilios Restaurant - Cancelled
Mother Nature did it to us again. The unexpected bad weather on this date caused us to Cancel this event.
April 6th
Lunch at Dingle House (Keeneland Race Track Cancelled)
The scheduled trip to Keenland was cancelled due to lack of attendees. Instead 12 members had lunch and a meeting at Dingle House Irish Pub and Grub.

May 5th
Day trip to Columbus, OH
Thirteen members started the trip at Schmidt's Sausage Haus und Restaurant for lunch. After lunch we headed down the street to the Wagner-Hagan Auto Museum where our host Steve Wagner entertained us with wonderful stories about his collection of interesting and unique post-war cars and a very unique license plate collection. Lastly we visited Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

June 8th
Indiana Covered Bridges
On Saturday, June 8th, 16 T-Birders travelled the back roads of Indiana to see five of the 98 historic wooden covered bridges in the State. After meeting in the Remke Parking lot just off I-74 in Harrison, we headed West on I-74 towards Indiana for our driving tour of approximately 150 miles. After we traveled through (or past) five bridges we had lunch at Ainsley's Cafe overlooking Brookville Lake. After lunch we headed back toward Ohio passing by one more bridge.

July 13th
Annual OVEB Picnic
The club's annual picnic was held at Terry and Carol's house in Tipp City. We spent some time exploring Tipp City and then moved on to Terry and Carol's home for an afternoon picnic. We had delicious food including pulled pork, fried chicken, salads, sides and desserts. There were plenty of drinks and the back yard was set up with tents and tables to keep us out of the sun.

August 17th
Pedal Wagon in Downtown Cincy
Fifteen members went on an exciting 2-hour brunch adventure on the "Pedal Wagon" in Cincinnati's Over-the Rhine. They rode on an electric assisted "Pedal Wagon" to the Court Street Lobster Bar for Brunch.

September 21st
Lunch at Greyhound Tavern and Tour Vent Haven Museum
We'll start the day with lunch at the historic Greyhound Tavern. The atmosphere and food are wonderful - a great treat if you have never been. It is rated #1 of 39 places to eat in Fort Mitchell by TripAdvisor.

Next we will head to the Vent Haven Museum, the world's only museum of ventriloquial figures and memorabilia. Founded by William Shakespeare Berger, a Cincinnati businessman and amateur ventriloquist, Vent Haven's collection contains more than 900 ventriloquist figures from twenty countries as well as hundreds of photographs and other pieces of memorabilia.

Findlay Market & Rookwood Pottery
Findlay Market is Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market and one of Cincinnati's most cherished institutions. It is an old-fashioned public market, known for the great variety of fabulous fresh foods, for bargains, for distinctive gifts, for people watching, and for a quintessentially urban shopping experience. The market opens at 8:00 am on Saturday so you can explore at your leisure until 10:45 am when we will stroll down the street to the Rookwood Pottery Factory.
The Rookwood Pottery Company Factory is located in a 88,000 square foot production facility in the bustling Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. This company was first founded in Cincinnati 130 years ago by pioneering artist Maria Longworth-Nichols. She quickly built the company into a world-renowned ceramics studio, attracting the attention of famed artists and ceramicists all over the world. We will meet at 11:00 am to take a 1-hour tour of the Factory located at 1920 Race Street, Cincinnati, OH.
After the tour we will have lunch at the Sacred Beast Diner at 1437 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH.

November 2nd
Cincinnati Union Terminal
Join us as we cruise on down for a guided tour of the newly renovated national historic landmark, Cincinnati Union Terminal. We'll spend some time admiring the largest half-dome in the western hemisphere, enjoying the intricate details and stories of the Winold Reiss mosaics, visiting the Rookwood-tiled ice cream parlor, marveling at the magical whispering fountains and discovering the "backstage" areas of the terminal. The tour starts promptly at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 2nd. The cost is $10 per person and it must be paid by October 18th so please let us know you will be coming by clicking the link below. There is also a parking charge of $6 per automobile when you get to the Terminal.
After the tour we will head up I-75 to BRAVO Cucina Italiana Restaurant, located in the "Streets of Westchester", for a great lunch.

Annual Holiday Party
We plan on having the OVEB annual holiday party at Jill & Bob's clubhouse. Further information will be posted as we finalize details.

April 28th
Sharonville 40th Annual Car Show
The OVEB had four members bring their baby birds to this event which has been a Sharonville tradition for over 40 years. Even though the weather was quite chilly, a huge number of classic cars filled the streets of downtown Sharonville. Bob Hulsmann, one of our members, took second place in the Thunderbird class with his '57 T-Bird.

International Thunderbird Club (ITC) Convention, Cleveland
The International Thunderbird Club (ITC), which encompasses all years of Thunderbirds (1955-1997; 2002-2005) will be having it's 2019 Convention on August 6-11 in Cleveland (Westlake), Ohio. Events: Tues evening: Welcome Party, Wed: Caravan and Ferry to Put-in Bay, Thu: Bus to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Crawford Auto Museum, Fri: Seminar & Pool Party, Sat: T-Bird & Ford Concours Show, Evening Awards Banquet.

13th Annual Spring Grove Car Show
The 13th Annual Spring Grove Car Show will be Sunday, October 13, 2019 from noon to 4:00 p.m. (there is No Rain Date!) All Car Models 1990 and older. NO Entry Fees - Please bring Non-Perishable Food Item. There will be free Mini Tram Tours of Historic Spring Grove Cemetery throughout the day. Online Vehicle Registration will be available September 14th at noon until October 10th at 4:00 p.m. on the Spring Grove website. (see link below).
